Returns & Refund Policy

1. Overview

Ziab provides high-quality, validated nanobodies and reagents for research use only (RUO). Due to the nature of biological and custom-produced materials, we follow a strict returns and quality-assurance policy to ensure reliability and safety.

2. Eligibility for Returns

Because our products are temperature-sensitive, perishable, or custom-manufactured, most items are not eligible for return once shipped. Exceptions apply only when:

  • The product does not meet the specifications listed on its data sheet.
  • The product arrives damaged or compromised during shipping.
  • The incorrect item was delivered due to our error.

Requests must be filed within 5 business days of delivery.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

  • Opened, used, or partially consumed materials
  • Products stored incorrectly after delivery
  • Custom-developed nanobodies or bespoke reagents
  • Temperature-controlled shipments (including dry-ice shipments)
  • Items damaged due to mishandling by the customer

4. Reporting an Issue

If you receive a product that appears defective or inconsistent with the provided specifications, please contact us immediately at:

Include the following:

  • Order number
  • Product name and lot number
  • Photos of the item and packaging (if applicable)
  • Description of the issue
  • Any experimental details relevant to the issue

5. Replacement or Refund

If the product is confirmed to be defective or out of specification, Ziab will offer one of the following:

  • A replacement of the same item
  • A refund of the purchase price

The decision is made at Ziab’s discretion based on scientific and quality-assurance review.

6. Shipping Issues

If an item arrives damaged due to shipping carriers, we will assist in filing a claim and may send a replacement depending on the situation. Claims must be made within 5 business days.

7. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before they are processed for shipment. Custom projects cannot be cancelled once production has started.

8. No Guarantee of Experimental Results

Ziab guarantees product quality as specified on product data sheets. However, we do not guarantee performance in specific experiments, as results depend on protocols, conditions, and laboratory environments beyond our control.
